Some days just feel custom-made for “I do.” Yesterday’s Lentz-O’Connor wedding opened with an intimate ceremony on the green under warm, flawless sunshine—the kind of day you order and hope shows up. Family and friends filled the space with smiles, then drifted inside for Cocktail Hour at The Edge: crisp beverages, bruschetta, and stuffed mushrooms keeping conversations easy and plates happy.

We kicked off the reception with the grand entrance of the wedding party and the newly minted Mr. & Mrs. O’Connor, then settled into Italian favorites for dinner. After heartfelt toasts, we moved right into the formal dances: a romantic First Dance for the couple, a sweet Stepfather & Bride dance, and a touching Mother & Son moment.
The bouquet toss? A blast—“Single Ladies” queued up and the energy popped. From there, the dance floor lights came on and never really turned off. We blended current hits, a few of the couple’s picks, and fun requests from guests. At one point the entire room locked in for line-dance classics—Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, and Wobble—proof that synchronized joy is still undefeated.
My Take on The Edge (Venue Spotlight)
Set in the calm of Edgewood, The Edge (Edgewood Golf Course & Event Center) combines broad fairway views with a welcoming event space that flexes effortlessly from sunlight ceremony to cozy-chic reception. The patio and dining-room sightlines are a photographer’s friend, the Pub keeps hospitality warm, and the property is built for both celebrations and community happenings—from weddings and holiday dinners to reunions, meetings, and (yes) plenty of golf outings.
As a DJ, I love the natural flow here: ceremony out on the green, a quick indoor reset for cocktails, then an easy glide into dinner and dancing. Darlene and her team run a tight, kind ship—communicative, on point, and timeline-smart without ever feeling rushed. It makes my job (and your party) better.
